Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our dental professionals, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop and refine skills in dental procedures, patient care, and clinic management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Infection Control and Sterilization
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners to ensure dental instruments meet hygiene standards.
- Efficiently clean, organize, and store dental instruments to support seamless clinical operations.
2. Chairside Assistance
- Assist the dentist during various procedures by confidently identifying and handling dental instruments.
- Position and pass tools efficiently to enhance workflow and ensure the smooth progression of treatments.
- Provide support in a variety of clinical scenarios, prioritizing both dentist efficiency and patient comfort.
3. Treatment Preparation and Equipment Maintenance
- Gain proficiency in understanding and preparing materials for common dental treatments, ensuring accuracy and readiness.
- Operate and maintain dental equipment, including X-ray machines and sterilization tools, to ensure safety and functionality.
- Ensure all equipment is regularly inspected and serviced as necessary.
4. Administrative Support
- Update patient records accurately and promptly, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Schedule appointments, manage billing, and assist with insurance-related tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Willingness to undergo training (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
