Accountabilities:
- Student Wellness: Develop and monitor programmes and initiatives to address student needs in the areas of social and emotional development
- Student Counselling: Lead a team comprising counsellors and administrators to manage crisis situations faced by students
- Partnership with Singapore University Sports Council (SUSC): Sustain positive partnerships with Institutes of Higher Learning (e.g. AUs) to continually enhance the good name of SIM as an institution that provides beyond-the-classroom services to students, comparable to their counterparts
- Student Leadership Development: Oversee the design and development student leadership programmes and initiatives to groom student leaders through peer-learning and leadership activities
- Student Safety Management: Lead a team in the development, implementation, and review for continuous improvement of Student Safety Management processes, policies and procedures for events and activities conducted by SDEV
- Service Excellence in Student Engagement: Collaborate with relevant units to identify and implement ways of evaluating the effectiveness of programmes and activities organized in support of student engagement and development
- Student Disciplinary Management: Oversee SIM's Student Conduct Secretariat working in tandem with the SIM Disciplinary Committee to review Student Conduct policies that is kept abreast with tertiary institutional norms, with focus on the management of disciplinary issues
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Plan and manage the annual budget of the Division. Prioritize the allocation of resources to achieve divisional objectives within the budget approved
- Managerial and Business Leadership: Provide managerial and business leadership to direct reports and their teams; develop them through staff engagement, provide them with learning opportunities, and make recommendations on recognition and career development as required
- Scholarships and Bursaries: Oversee the administration of scholarships and bursaries in SIM GE
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- At least 10 years working experience preferably in the areas of leadership development, events management and/or sports administration, and management of teams
- Effective interpersonal skills with good command of written and spoken English
- A self-motivated team player and able to work independently
- Passion for working with young adults
