Overall Job Responsibility
The Future Care Planning Resource Centre (FCP RC) serves as a hub, dedicated to enabling caregivers, persons with disabilities and sector professionals to commence and facilitate Future Care Planning (FCP). The FCP RC aims to provide clarity, resources and professional guidance across the building blocks of Future Care Planning, to ensure peace of mind for caregivers and a sustainable, person-centric future for their loved ones.
You will also work closely with various key stakeholders including social service agencies and professionals (beyond the disability sector) and resource panel experts to ensure the delivery of high-quality future care planning services and engagement initiatives. You will also engage caregivers, persons with disabilities and members of public seeking information and/or clarification about FCPDuties and Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager, you will plan and execute key initiatives of the FCP RC, including developing FCP workshops and engagements for caregivers, sector professionals and disability agencies. You will spearhead outreach and engagement strategies to expand the reach and impact of FCP RC.
Specifically, you will:
- Develop and implement FCP Bespoke workshops for caregivers, such as facilitation for legal and financial aspects of FCP. You will oversee the end-to-end workshop process from concept design, engaging expert facilitators (lawyers, financial planners) and publicity to implementation, review and refinement. You will ensure that topics and content are tailored to caregiver’s needs with accuracy and relevance. You will also monitor workshop effectiveness through caregiver feedback and participation metrics.
Other responsibilities:
- Support the team in the production and dissemination of FCP outreach and public education material, ensuring accessibility and alignment with caregiver needs. Update FCP content in SG Enable/FCP RC’s social media channels and/or website.
- Attend to queries received through email, hotline or in-person visits by caregivers, social service professionals or members of public about future care planning and/or the FCP RC, and ensure they are directed to appropriate services or teams for follow up, if needed. Document data/details of the inquiries and inquirers, to inform outreach efforts, caregiver engagement and FCP RC activities.
- Assist in planning and implementing community engagement activities. Manage the FCP RC’s community engagement calendar/schedule.
- Coordinate and manage the Centre’s logistics for FCP-related events, including scheduling, venue setup, participant communication, and feedback collection.
- Perform general administrative duties, including organizing records, reports, and correspondence related to FCP RC operations.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisors to support the FCP RC’s operations and objectives e.g. capability building in FCP for sector professionals.
- Participate in workgroups or provide secretarial support to Group- or SG Enable-level meetings, as required.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Degree holder with at least 3 years of work experience, preferably in the social service/disability sector, community engagement, or public education.
- Experience in community outreach, event management, or client-facing roles would be advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in designing and implementing public education campaigns or outreach programs.
- Dedicated to engaging, understanding, and addressing the diverse needs of caregivers and persons with disabilities.
- Resourceful and adaptable, with the ability to problem-solve and work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with caregivers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in tools like Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to leverage social media and digital platforms to enhance public engagement.
