[What the role is]
You will support and drive dynamic tasks and functions under Planning and Strategy teams, which include the following:

[What you will be working on]

  • Support the development and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management in WSG
    • Proficiency in developing and refining WSG’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, policies, guidelines and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
    • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of ERM-related documents, preparing regular risk reports for management and stakeholders, as well as leading the reporting of organizational Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to management
    • Ability to facilitate risk assessment, including risk identification, evaluation and mitigation planning
    • Ability to support scenario planning and stress-testing of key risks to assess the potential impact to WSG’s work
    • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management process, escalation process and controls
    • Competencies in promoting a risk-aware culture, and providing guidance and training on risk management principles and practices in WSG

  • Drive whole-of-WSG work planning, support WSG Board, and performance reporting
    • Proficiency in driving the annual corporate workplan process across WSG
    • Proficiency in undertaking Board secretariat functions and Board engagements, as well as WSG’s annual corporate report
    • Competencies in building and reviewing metrices and indicators to measure output and outcomes, to review and report WSG’s key corporate performance indicators and supporting indicators
    • Competencies in facilitation and engagement, for overseeing and implementing change management in support of WSG 2030

  • Proficiency in managing secretariat roles and coordination for key platforms and issues, and effective communications with stakeholders
  • Ability to undertake secretariat functions for key meeting platforms with Minister/ Manpower and Permanent Secretary/ Manpower, and related inter-agency workgroups
  • Strong liaison skills with the ability to effectively engage with MOM’s policy divisions overseeing WSG’s scope of work
  • Proficiency in coordinating WSG’s inputs to annual Budget and Committee of Supply debates
  • Ability to coordinate responses to enquiries from MOM and other agencies on cross-cutting policy matters, parliamentary questions etc

Knowledge/Skills

  • Have a strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, principles and concepts
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and able to understand issues beyond the surface
  • Good project management and problem-solving skills
  • Have a good understanding of public governance and its principles
  • Skills to derive data-driven insights and understand quantitative data to conduct data analysis and risk modelling to analyse trends and support scenario planning
  • Familiarity with public sector governance and risk is preferred
