Accountant

Farnell Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair Finance operations (RTR) :

• Handle day to day full spectrum of financial operation activities for Spore and Korea entities.
• Ensure timely month end and year end closing, including preparation & review of journal entries, account reconciliations , intercompany transactions, schedules and financial statements.
• Perform month on month variance analysis for Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities (Recharges and Reconciliation).
• Support on inventories management

Accounting Shared Service :

• Collaborate with shared service team to manage daily finance operations. Review month end closing entries and reports prepared by Shared service team to ensure accuracy.
• Work closely with shared service team on process improvement and standardization of processes across entities.
• Review and provide recommendations on an ongoing basis to automate/improve existing RTR processes.

Fixed Assets :

• Work closely with team on the correct accounting and maintenance of assets in the Fixed Asset Register and support on queries of assets.
• In charge of Fixed Assets sighting and count exercise.
• In charge of Fixed Assets reconciliation and reporting.

Tax filings & Compliance :

• Preparation of monthly GST.
• Oversee tax related matters, including the timely preparation and submission of tax returns for Singapore and Korea.
• Liaise with tax advisors and local authorities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Audit & Statutory Compliance :

• Liaise with external auditor during statutory audits by preparing required documentation and addressing queries.
• Liaise with corporate secretarial on corporate filing matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and local regulations.

Others :

• Perform any other ad hoc duties or tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Minimum Degree in Finance/Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with exposure to Korea and Singapore accounting regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and strong MS office skills.

- Solid understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations in Korea and Singapore.- Experience in Korea accounting / knowledge an added advantage Key Competencies :
