Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in shaping the national research and data analytics agenda for the non-profit sector, focusing on giving behaviours and pro-social attitudes.
  • Drive the development of an evidence-informed ecosystem within the organisation and across the sector, influencing policy formulation and programme design through building community, identifying best practices, robust research, insights, and data triangulation.
  • Oversee the planning and management of the research function, setting priorities, ensuring methodological rigor, and aligning research outcomes with organisational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing research team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee research projects from conceptualisation and study design to execution, quality assurance, and dissemination, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Build and strengthen high-level partnerships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders from government, corporate, academic, and social sectors, to promote research collaboration and sector-wide knowledge-building.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Economics, or another related field
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in applied research, policy analysis, data analytics, or programme evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience translating research into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders, including government, non-profits, funders, or corporate partners
  • Familiarity with Singapore's giving landscape, civic sector, or related fields such as social innovation, philanthropy, or community development
  • Strong grounding in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including survey design, statistical analysis, and qualitative synthesis
