LNG Trader

Roles and Responsibilities

• Originate, negotiate, and execute LNG spot and term deals (FOB, DES, and other structures).

• Monitor and analyze market fundamentals, supply/demand balances, shipping economics, and price movements to identify trading opportunities.

• Manage the company's LNG cargo position, including optimization of cargo sales, purchases, swaps, diversions, and shipping.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, suppliers, customers, brokers etc…

• Provide market insights and contribute to the company's strategic and tactical decision-making.

• Ensure all trading activities comply with internal policies, risk limits, and external regulations.

• Any other tasks as may be assigned by the General Manager.

Requirement:

• Solid understanding of LNG market dynamics and pricing mechanisms.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in LNG trading or closely related gas/energy trading markets.

• Strong deal origination, negotiation, and execution skills.

• Good understanding of trade risk management, credit risk, and operational risk.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.

• Willingness to travel internationally for business development and deal execution.

• Availability for flexible working hours, considering global market activity.

• Existing network of LNG market contacts.

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.

• Proficiency in speaking and writing Mandarin is essential for effective communication within the Company.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trading, Economics, or a related field.
