Introduction
GlobalFoundries has 3 manufacturing sites globally (US, Germany and Singapore). Global Asset Management team is responsible for optimizing assets, especially the high value assets such as equipment used in Wafer fabrication process. One of the asset optimization initiatives is to harness the value of used equipment that is no longer required for production due to technological changes, capacity mix optimization, equipment obsolescence and other factors. This project aims to optimize the Equipment Sales process by enhancing data management, data analysis, equipment marketing and streamlining processes. This project is important to support higher sales gains for GlobalFoundries used assets.


Project Description

  • Basic Overview of wafer fabrication process and equipment sales process.

  • Establishing a complete equipment database Globally. Provide data analysis for improving equipment sales gain.

  • Equipment sales management coordination support (e.g. Equipment inspection onsite / video inspection), follow up on buyer enquiries and upload data sheets timely.

  • Managing schedules, preparing reports, and coordinating communication between departments.

  • Maintaining equipment’s sales records and databases.

  • Improve GlobalFoundries equipment remarketing website to increase website traffic.

  • Handling customers enquiries and resolving potential issues.

  • Follow-up with continuous improvement initiatives.

Project Outcome

  • Students tasked to optimize the remarketing website by increasing the traffic flow and equipment sale global enquiries.

  • Learn problem solving and presentation skills

  • Gain valuable experience in sales operations, customer service and administrative roles.

  • Networking opportunities and practical experience.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Business, Marketing or Engineering field.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Team, One drive, Excel and Power Point.
