Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance team and ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and strong compliance across our group of companies. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, proven experience in group consolidation, and a strong understanding of cross-border tax matters. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage and mentor a team while supporting the company’s strategic financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
- Lead the group consolidation process across multiple subsidiaries and countries.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements across all jurisdictions.
- Manage cross-border tax issues, including transfer pricing, withholding tax, intercompany transactions, and tax planning.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis, forecasts, and management reports to senior leadership.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff, ensuring high standards of performance and engagement.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, legal, and tax on business initiatives and projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is required.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and group consolidation principles.
- Experience with cross-border tax matters, international entities, and intercompany eliminations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in a multinational or regional group environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Oracles ) and advanced Excel skills.
