Job Description
The role includes:
Business Process Re-engineering (BPR): Facilitate BPR or organizational/job redesign projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement (CI): Promote CI mindsets and distinctive customer experiences through Lean Six Sigma and Change Management across supported Business Units (BUs). Facilitate projects to improve productivity, decrease costs, increase capacity, improve accuracy and timeliness, and redesign roles and functions.
Business Excellence (BE)/Certification Exercise: Support STL Group in annual certification exercises, including various Group ISO Standards (e.g., ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 45001 Safety, ISO 22301 BCM, ISO 28000 Security, ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery).
- Documentation: Establish and maintain documentation (e.g., SOPs, Manuals, Forms) ensuring their continual suitability through periodic review.
- Audit Liaison: Act as a liaison officer for audits, following up on discrepancies reported via corrective action reports and tracking them until closure.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for ISO management systems with stakeholders to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, and review their continual suitability.
- Tabletop Exercise: Plan, design, and facilitate tabletop exercises to simulate incident scenarios and assess the effectiveness of response teams.
- Customer/Authority Audit Management: Manage customer audits, authority audits, and third-party consultant audits, following up on any areas for improvement until closure.
Sustainability Efforts:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's overall sustainability strategy, aligning it with business goals and relevant regulations.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement in environmental and social performance across various operational areas (e.g., energy, waste, water, supply chain, etc.).
- Develop and implement specific sustainability programs and initiatives/projects, setting targets and timelines.
- Create and maintain sustainability-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collect, track, and analyze data related to the organization's environmental impact (e.g., energy consumption, waste generation, carbon emissions, etc.).
- Stay up to date with relevant environmental laws, regulations, trends, best practices, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, ISSB, ISO standards, etc.).
- Identify and assess environmental and social risks and opportunities for the organization, and contribute to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
- Communicate the organization's sustainability initiatives and performance to external stakeholders (e.g., customers, regulatory bodies, etc.) through reports, presentations, and other channels.
- Collaborate with institutions, external partners, industry associations, etc., to advance sustainability goals.
- Develop and deliver training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees on sustainability principles and practices.
- Other Tasks: Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Job requirement
Communication Skills:
Proven communication skills on both personal and group levels, with essential English language proficiency and necessary Mandarin language skills. Ability to:
- Communicate complex issues in a simplified, understandable manner in written format, one-on-one meetings, discussions, and group presentations.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
Policy and Compliance Skills:
Understanding of various ISO standards and their requirements. Ability to:
- Communicate policy and relevant compliance clauses.
- Provide advice and guidance to respective businesses in the implementation of ISO programs.
- Address audit queries and ensure effective closures to audit findings.
Technical Skills:
Job-related knowledge, policies, procedures, and techniques, including:
- Lean Six Sigma (at least a Green Belt) Certification.
- Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) Skills.
- Preferably an ISO Certified Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor.
- Project Management and Facilitation skills.
- Risk Management Skills.
- Sustainability (ESG) related Certification.
- Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
Business Skills:
Understanding of business concepts, organizational knowledge, and profitability.
Human Relations Skills:
People skills in servicing, influencing, developing, and leading others.
Ability to:
- Be a team player with high initiative, demonstrated planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Interact and work effectively across functional teams and at multiple organizational levels.
