Overview of Role
The Account Executive is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and closing prospective clients within the SaaS sector. This role requires a proactive sales professional who is skilled in client relationship management, understands the Challenger Sales methodology, and is intrinsically motivated to exceed sales targets consistently.
Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through consultative sales methods and a Challenger Sales approach
Conduct client and market research to strategically target potential customers
Lead the sales process from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closure
Maintain accurate sales records and manage CRM data for reporting, analysis and revenue forecasts
Provide timely responses to client inquiries and deliver product and service presentations
Support training and guidance of channel sales partners where necessary
Foster strong relationships with existing clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Travel to client premises when required to drive engagement and deal closure
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Accountancy, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years proven sales experience within a SaaS environment
- Demonstrated track record as a top sales performer
- Good knowledge and proven application of the Challenger Sales methodology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes and challenges, with a customer-first mindset
