Principal Consultant/ Executive Manager, Technical Solution Consultant

The IMDA Accreditation and Spark programmes seeks to nurture and grow promising Singapore-based digital technology companies of different growth stages. If you have the interests and passion for innovative and emerging digital technologies and can communicate with senior executives of high growth digital tech startups, we’d like to have a chat with you.

You will be part of the Enterprise & Ecosystem Development, a dynamic team made up of independent and self-motivated individuals, that works closely with senior executives of digital tech startups to bring them into the Accreditation and Spark programme, perform due diligence on the company to assess their credentials, and support their growth journey through developing new local and international market opportunities that will eventually help them establish track records.

You will also collaborate with both local and international industry partners, Government agencies and internal IMDA divisions to support the growth of these companies in the Accreditation and Spark programmes, with the aim to drive Singapore’s digital transformation using best in class local-based technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain rapport with Government agencies and leading enterprises across sectors to identify and create opportunities for large scale projects.
• Work with CXOs and senior IT decision-makers, providing insights on how best-of-breed technologies can solve complex business challenges.
• Conduct executive-level innovation workshops, technical deep dives, and strategic design sessions to define problem statements and align solutions.
• Translate executive-level business challenges into technical strategies, crafting actionable delivery roadmaps for adoption and implementation.
• Develop strategic, high-level architectures for large-scale transformation projects, ensuring scalability, security, and business alignment.
• Identify and assess top-tier digital solutions from global and local technology leaders, ensuring they meet enterprise and government needs.
• Manage on-going interactions with both tech startups and buyers, to secure buy-in and identify strategic involvement of IMDA for large scale projects.
• Work with cross-function teams within IMDA leveraging organisational strength and programmes to support the implementation of projects.

Requirements:

(A) Academic

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Certification in related areas such as:
  • TOGAF Certification (Enterprise Architecture).
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • SEI Software Architecture Professional Certificate

(B) Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in solution architecture or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of modern technology stack and experience in solution consulting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical details to diverse audiences.
• Expertise in system architecture design, cloud computing, microservices, and enterprise-level software development.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, databases, networking, and security protocols.

(C) Other Key Areas of Consideration

• Self-motivated individual with high degree of personal initiative, flexibility and positive attitude to adapt to dynamic scope of activities
• Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders (tech and non-tech) to effectively interact with key stakeholders (e.g. CXOs) to be able to influence decisions and engage in strategic discussions
• Analytical skill to evaluate project risk, constrains and propose innovation solution
• Plugged into the ICT tech, start-up and/or R&D ecosystem in Singapore with strong knowledge of security standards and system scalability
• Commercially-savvy with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
