Our client is an established Offshore Facilities and Components provider, serving the offshore energy companies, operating all over the world. They are currently looking for a Marine Operation Specialist .

Job Description| Marine Operation Specialist:


Role and responsibilities


  • Planning and Coordination: Planning, coordination, and supervising the movement of marine vessels, ensuring that all operations align with project schedules and requirements.
  • Vessel and Equipment Management: Vetting and overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and operational readiness of marine vessels and equipment, ensuring they are seaworthy and well-maintained.
  • Emergency Response: Preparing coordination plan, interface plan, inspection plan, marine traffic management plan, terminal operation procedure, emergency response plans and procedures whatsoever any documents related with the marine operation.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Working closely with various stakeholders, including vessel captains, crew, port authorities, and regulatory bodies to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keeping detailed records of marine operations, including log entries, reports, and documentation of activities.


Required skills and experience


  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of post-qualification marine operation experience.
  • Technical Skills: knowledge of marine operations, including navigation, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of international maritime laws and regulations to ensure compliance during operations.
  • English language skills: Fluent Communication, proficiency in both spoken and written for effective communication with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Other ability: Understanding and creating technical reports, procedures, and regulatory documents in English.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, result driven and have a good sense of team working skills.
  • Good attitude and possess the willingness to learn on the job.
  • Adaptable to fast paced work environment, able to work under pressure, able to finish assigned work on time.
  • Good communicative skill, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork.
  • Fluency in English is required to communicate with their diverse team and stakeholders effectively
  • Candidate who can join ASAP, will be given the 1st priority.
