[What the role is]
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Manager, Digital & Social (MarTech) to join our Communications and Marketing team. This role sits within the Digital and Social team and will lead the adoption of marketing technologies and data-driven strategies, particularly in the areas of social media, web, and app/SaaS platforms.You will be responsible for driving MarTech strategy, integrating systems and tools, and enabling data-led decision-making across IMDA’s digital and social channels. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to establish best practices, streamline workflows, and improve digital and social media outcomes through greater automation, personalisation, and insight.
As the team’s MarTech lead, you will also deputise for the Assistant Director when needed and provide team leadership and support.
[What you will be working on]
What You Will Be Working On:
- MarTech Strategy & Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of marketing technology strategies that align with IMDA’s communications and business goals. Champion the use of digital tools to improve internal workflows, content production, campaign automation, and digital asset management.
- Marketing Data Analytics: Structure and interpret data from social, web, and digital platforms to generate insights that inform content and campaign performance. Deliver clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across all levels, from working teams to senior leadership.
- Platform Management: Oversee and manage key platform including analytical tools, marketing automation systems, web content management tools and social media management suites.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT and vendors to integrate various internal and external platforms, ensuring seamless communication and data flow between systems,
- Innovation & Trendspotting: Stay ahead of the latest marketing technologies, tools, and trends to assess their relevance and potential adoption. Bring in innovative tools or methods that elevate marketing outcomes and content impact.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with comms & marketing teams, business units, internal tech teams and vendors to ensure MarTech tools are aligned with b communication objectives and scalable for future needs.
- Training & Support: Provide ongoing training to comms & marketing teams on the effective use of marketing technologies and tools, implementing and maintaining best practices with clear and agreed SOPs.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 7–10 years of experience in digital product ownership and/or implementing content marketing technologies across a range of digital platforms, including web, mobile apps, social media, and email marketing.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Proven ability to lead projects and teams. Prior experience managing people or stepping into leadership roles is preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Google Analytics, Business Intelligence tools, CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, content management systems, A/B testing and digital asset management tools.
- Hands-on experience with Analytics platforms is a must
- Familiarity with web development technologies, coding/low-code platforms e.g. Python, VBA, or RPA would be a strong advantage – enabling rapid prototyping and more agile solution development.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and experience with prototyping tools such as Figma
- Analytical and Project Management skills: Strong analytical thinker with the ability to extract insights and drive impact. Experienced in managing multiple projects concurrently. Knowledge of Agile/ SCRUM is an asset.
- Personal Attributes: Curious and tech-savvy and passionate about tech and media industry. Possess excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness, with the ability to work independently while fostering strong relationships and effectively engaging cross-functional teams.
