Manager

· Business Matters :

• Liaise with brokers, trading firms, operators, shipyards on specifications and price

• Check profitability of project

• Internal discussion with technical dept on equipment and machineries

• Negotiation with financiers

• Prepare proposal to top management for review and approval

• Arrangement of payment scheme

• Sea trial and delivery of vessel

• Check profitability and feasibility of sale

• Arrange for offers and inspections

• Negotiate price and MOA terms with buyers

• Discuss and agree with relevant financiers on prepayment of loans and discharge of mortgage.
  

· Financial Matters :

• Explanation of Financial Statements and company’s outlook to financier

• Negotiation of financial conditions such as LTV, MTM, financial covenants etc

• Assess the necessity or possibility to refinance

• Research of financial market and compare with existing condition

• Negotiation with financiers on terms

• Utilize free cash for FX forward in order to reduce exposure on fluctuating exchange rates

• Arrange FD to improve cash position
  

· Friendly Ship Owners Matters:

• Quarterly report of financial status and vessel’s conditions to friendly ship-owners

• Proposal of newbuilding projects or S&P to friendly ship-owners
  

Other Related Matters:

• Maintenance of fleet cash vale

• Monitor Fleet market value

• Study Market trend by gathering information from brokers and/or various publications or reports
  

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime discipline preferred

• Minimum 10 years of strong leadership experience in Shipping related portfolios

• Proven track record in achieving desired targets, operational excellence and leading a team

• Able to cultivate positive working relationships with all levels of people to achieve business goals through strong interpersonal skills and high EQ

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with different profile of clients, all levels of employees and the Senior Management team within the organisation

• Able to manage highly complex and challenging business issues and mitigate associated risks

• Meticulous and proficient in delivering the highest standard of work

• Japanese speaking will have an added advantage as skills are required to support our Japan-based teams and ensure smooth communications with Japanese- speaking clients
