About our group:
The Global Logistics organization is responsible for defining and managing “Stock-to-Deliver” and “Order Management, ATP and Fulfilment” processes globally. This includes overseeing over 120 locations and ensuring seamless operations across all business segments and movement types.
About the role - you will:
The Director of Logistics and Warehouse Operations will lead and manage logistics projects and warehouse operations to ensure best-in-class performance. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize logistics processes and warehouse execution. The Director will also support and manage strategic initiatives, ensuring logistics remain a strategic advantage for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex logistics and warehouse projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with business rules.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
- Use data analytics to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance logistics operations.
- Support strategic initiatives such as Global Warehouse strategy, VMI Centralization, and Warehouse Automation.
- Define and document processes, methods, and tools for warehouse execution.
- Review performance and KPIs with execution teams globally and set up continuous improvement action plans.
- Manage operational costs and lead times, maintaining WMS master data and creating SOPs/Business Rules.
- Interact with IT to lead improvement of warehouse execution processes and create automated dashboards.
About you:
- Strong background in logistics processes and tools, with a focus on warehouse execution and supply chain reliability.
- Experience in managing logistics or supply chain projects through all phases.
- Ability to lead and direct project teams, manage resources, and ensure project milestones are met.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for facilitating meetings and teamwork.
- Passion for change and improvement initiatives, optimizing cost, security, and supply chain reliability.
Your experience includes:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience in transportation management and warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience with logistics management systems (TMS, WMS, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of sales, demand planning, and supply planning.
- Experience in financial planning and understanding the linkages between demand/supply plans and financial plans.
- Typically, at least 5-7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a change management role.
