Summary
This position will be leading the company’s structured finance team and work closely with the Managing Director and Japan HQ to achieve sales targets, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure the alignment of local strategies with the global vision of the HQ in Japan.
Job Description
- Lead and work with structured finance team covering finance/investment in various business sector including, private equity/debt, structured finance etc.
- Develop and maintain relationship with potential and existing clients/partners to increase organization’s revenue and profits
- Liaise/negotiate with Headquarters’ relevant departments for project development with Japanese-speaking counterparts and management
- Liaise/negotiate with both internal and external parties including professional accounting/legal advisory firms for execution of potential transactions
- Work closely with financial institutions, private funds as well as line managers to make the suitable funding arrangements
- Reviewing internal documents including meeting minutes, credit applications, financial monitoring and assessment material
- Supervising drafting proposal letters, contract documents and agreements
- Establish KPIs and conduct performance evaluation of team members
- Lead / guide to nurture juniors. Other ad-hoc jobs/ tasks may be assigned by the superior
Work Experience, Skills, Qualification and other requirements
- Possess at least bachelor’s degree in related field
- At least 15 years of relevant experience
- At least 10 years of middle back team management experience
- Able to work independently in a fast paced and agile environment
- Possess analytical, logical and critical thinking skills
- Team player and proactive
- Able to manage timelines and judge priorities
- Proficient in MS Office
- Japanese language proficiency (native speaking / JLPT N1 proficiency) due to daily communication with Japanese-speaking counterparts and creation of documents and reports in Japanese
