TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT (MARINE)

We are seeking a highly motivated and competent individual for this position. This position primarily responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of a company's ship fleet, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. They are responsible for managing technical issues, maintaining vessels, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including ship owners, crew, and vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for handling of all work instructions from headquarter in Taiwan including inspection, audit and survey.
• Ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, such as ISM code and classification rules.
• Liaise with Classification Societies (ABS, NK, LR, RINA etc.), Flag State (Panama, Singapore, UK) Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) and Port of Singapore Authority (PSA).
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure the seaworthiness and compliance of vessels.
• Assessing and managing risks associated with vessel operations, including safety, security, and environmental concerns.
• Maintaining relationships with ship owners, charterers, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct vessel audit. Develop, manage and audit local vendors and suppliers in Singapore and Malaysia.
• Onboard inspection of equipment to improve fleet management and ship condition.
• Provide training and education to crew members.
• Undertake all kinds of urgent cases and on-site attendance.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification – Master Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent
• Superintendent engineer of containerships with minimum 15 years of experience.
• Excellent written and communication skills with headquarter in Taiwan.
• Excellent time management skills and able to prioritize.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team.
• Physical ability to perform audit onboard ships.
• Able to travel within short notice on board for ships visits regularly.
• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Possess class 3 driving license
