Tennis coach

A tennis coach in Singapore is responsible for delivering high-quality coaching to players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. Coaches are expected to create structured training programs, conduct engaging lessons, and ensure the overall development of players in both technical and tactical aspects of the game.

Key duties include planning individual and group sessions, teaching stroke techniques, footwork, match strategies, and promoting sportsmanship. Coaches must assess players’ progress, set development goals, and prepare athletes for competitive play when applicable. The role also involves managing equipment, ensuring court safety, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Coaching Certificate . International certifications such as those from the ITF, PTR, or USPTA are highly regarded.
• Experience : A minimum of 4–5 years of coaching experience is preferred. Former competitive playing experience is an advantage.
• Skills : Strong communication, patience, and motivational skills are essential. Coaches must have sound knowledge of tennis techniques and training methodologies, along with the ability to work with both children and adults.
• Other Requirements : Basic First Aid Certification is typically required, especially when coaching youth. A clean background check is mandatory for working with minors. Coaches should also be physically fit and available to work evenings or weekends, depending on client schedules.
