Algorithmic Trading Systems (ATS) Engineer

Job purpose:

• Becoming a key participant in the front office dealing with sales, trading, and client services
• Work on development and support of the end-to-end eFX trading system
• To be part of a global electronic trading business and collaborate within a team of Quants and Traders to continuously evolve systematic pricing and trading strategies
• To work closely with a team of Traders to help bring new strategies and system enhancements to production
• Help grow the profitability of the business

Key activities:

• Develop algorithms and tools for price discovery, client pricing, deal acceptance, and risk management
• Develop algorithms and tools for detailed analysis of client flow
• Develop tools for understanding all behaviours in the eFX platform at a detailed level
• Be responsible for overall software architecture
• Educate team in use of relevant tools and support their roll out, including working closely with IT on embedding of algorithms and techniques in the eFX platform
• Provide quantitative support to relevant sales and trading staff on a tactical basis
• To occasionally provide human risk oversight for the systematic risk management engine during Asian trading hours
• Adhere to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

Formal education:

University Degree

Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):

• Knowledge of financial markets / trading
• FX knowledge useful
• Strong skills in software design / development
• Hands-on coding experience in Java and some exposure to Python and KDB
• Good understand on Low latency system design and monitoring
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently
