Purpose of role:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Learning & Development will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of learning programs that empower all employees – from our global executives to our junior employees - to build a resilient workforce. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, effective training programs and initiatives that address evolving business needs and leadership challenges. You will work with stakeholders across multiple regions to drive our leadership development strategy and to lead projects including the global implementation of learning paths and new learning content.
This role will require a dynamic, results-driven professional with strong project management capabilities and deep learning and development expertise to enable and empower our talent
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Leadership & Learning Initiatives
- Support the design, implementation, and management of leadership and professional skills development programs for employees.
- Lead execution of “Global Own Your Career Week”, ensuring programs address current business and leadership challenges.
- Execute high-impact L&D initiatives, including skills acceleration programs, executive coaching, and mentoring.
Program Design, Delivery & LMS Management
- Oversee globalization of learning path projects (incl. implementation of CCA) to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design and launch high-quality online learning solutions.
- Develop and implement multi-modal learning experiences (instructor-led, e-learning, blended solutions).
Process Improvement & Vendor Management
- Identify strategies to simplify processes and globally streamline L&D operations for consistency and scalability in a global model.
- Work with internal stakeholders to assess workflows and recommend improvements in learning delivery and administration.
- Leverage technology and automation to optimize program management and the learner experience.
- Work with colleagues to explore, identify and employ latest technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to advance online learning experiences, policies and internal procedures.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Vendor Management
- Partner with HR teams, line-of-business leaders, and subject matter experts to develop and implement localized learning programs; align L & D solutions with targeted areas of focus.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Provide data-driven insights on program completion, engagement, learner experience, and content effectiveness.
Job requirements:
WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in training and development or similar roles in a large scale global or regional delivery
- Managing learning & development programs within a highly regulated, financial services environments
- Developing and delivering Learning and Development (L & D) solutions to enhance the capabilities of employees to advance organizational goals
- Using e-learning /Learning Management System (LMS) tools
- Supporting strategic, tactical, and logistical L & D plan development and issues resolution
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Functional / Technical Competencies:
- Essential Demonstrable Strengths
- Experience in implementing, using and managing learning management systems (LMS) and Human Resources (HR) platforms (SABA, Workday)
- Solid experience with instructional design, needs assessments and understanding of learning methods and techniques
- Understanding of regulatory and / or compliance related training
- Strong attention to detail with experience of working with large data-sets
- Fully proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated project and program management experience in a Learning and Development (L & D) setting
- Strong project management skills
Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar fieldPERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
