Job Description:
- Oversee accounting departments, including budget preparation, cash flow management, and audit processes.
- Conduct monthly stock takes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations, and income statements in compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage quarterly GST submissions.
- Maintain proficiency in billing and invoicing procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting using accounting systems including XERO.
- Manage procurement processes for both Changi and Bukit Merah campuses.
- Ensure vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchasing align with the organisation’s cost-efficiency and quality standards.
- Monitor procurement budgets and maintain accurate records of purchases.
- Understand and utilise XERO and AGPolytronics Admission Software.
- Ensure seamless integration and reporting between finance and admissions functions.
- Liaise with building management on operational issues such as facility maintenance, air conditioning, leakages, and other school-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong rapport with cross-functional teams, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with management to provide insights that support decision-making
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of all tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors to coordinate and support the annual financial audit process.
- Prepare and file Annual Returns with ACRA in a timely and accurate manner. Any other duties as assigned by the Director and management
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Accountancy or relevant accounting qualification, including ISCA, ACCA, CPA, etc
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in auditing and/or accounting role and at least 5 year in managerial capacity
- Prior experience in education industry is an added advantage
- Prior system implementation experiences advantageous
- Proactive, independent with good attention to detail
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to engage with team members and other internal and external stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communication skills
