Effective management of vessels through monitoring vessel’s movements and cargo transfer operations and ensure that voyage is performed efficiently and costs are kept to the minimum.
1. Assist Senior Operations Manager and Chartering Managers to effectively manage voyage costs and controls.
2. Update IMOS and prepare all documentation, Invoices, Demurrage statements, correspond on PNI cases, bunker purchases, accounts receivables and accounts payments.
3. Monitor all reports from ships and analyze time charter equivalent variations.
- Update IMOS system on a daily basis.
- Communicate with Master and brokers on Voyage orders, cargo stowage plans/Port restrictions etc
- Relay related information to Charterers, Owners, ports, agents etc.
- Appoint agents and monitor agents’ daily work for vessels entry/exit port, and their other arrangements & cooperation with vessels
- Arrange estimate port disbursement to agent prior vessel arrival in port
- Manage Bunker requistions/ Chemicals and fresh water for vessels in advance
- Upload all arrival/ departure / noon and SOF into IMOS
- Calculate laytime and follow up with charterers/ brokers
- Monitor downtime and upload into IMOS
- Provide itinerary Bi- weekly.
- Freight invoices to be sent out in 2 working days
- Collect general information of main ports in the area vessels usually call on
- Check details on special cargos working of ports planning to call
- Prepare and update invoices in IMOS.
- Prepare payment for chemicals/ fresh water and other services.
- Follow up on all outstanding demurrage, Additional War Risk Premium (AWRP), Freight taxes etc.
- All Protection and Indemnity (PNI) claim payments to be dealt with.
- Prepare physical Original Bill -of -Lading (OBL)
- Release physical OBL Switch OBL & physically release
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5years of relevant experience in a Tanker or Drybulk owner company/ Operator set-up.
- Good command of English language verbal and written skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with ability to multi-task
- Detailed - Oriented
- Analytical mindset
- Investigative in nature
- Team player
- Degree in Maritime Studies or Diploma in Maritime studies
