As part of our mission to uphold excellence and integrity in training delivery, we are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Co-Assessor to support our WSQ courses and assessment processes.
Role Overview:
As a Part-Time Co-Assessor at Vertical Institute, you will assist our Trainers in facilitating and conducting assessments in accordance with WSQ standards. You will help ensure assessments are conducted smoothly, fairly, and with full compliance to regulatory requirements. This role also involves conducting oral recovery sessions and maintaining accurate assessment documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate Assessment Sessions
- Assist Trainers in managing assessment sessions, ensuring learners are well-informed about the process and requirements.
- Support logistical arrangements to ensure the session runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Guide learners in understanding procedures, time management, and expectations.
2. Assist in Conducting Assessments
- Observe learner performance and assist the Trainer in addressing procedural or technical questions.
- Help evaluate learner responses in alignment with competency standards while maintaining fairness and objectivity.
3. Ensure Accurate and Timely Documentation
- Complete assessment records such as Assessment Summary Records (ASRs) and oral recovery documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure that all records are properly managed and stored according to Vertical Institute’s internal policies.
4. Uphold Assessment Integrity
- Follow Vertical Institute and WSQ assessment guidelines to ensure fairness and transparency.
- Report any suspected misconduct or breaches of protocol.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct throughout all assessment interactions.
Requirements:
- ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance) or ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) certification is required.
- Prior experience in WSQ-based assessment, facilitation, or training is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage learners in a supportive and professional manner.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to stay focused, manage time, and document accurately.
- A team-oriented individual who is committed to supporting Trainers and learners in achieving successful outcomes.
