Our client is looking for a PSA to join the Admissions and Service Centre (AASC) at a local hospital and become part of a team that ensures a seamless financial and admissions experience for patients. As a Patient Service Associate , you’ll provide timely and empathetic financial counselling and billing support for patients and caregivers, empowering them to make informed choices about their care options and financial planning.

You will play a critical role in helping patients understand their payment options, subsidies, and financial assistance schemes — all while ensuring professional service and accuracy in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Counselling & Admissions

  • Conduct bedside financial counselling for patients and caregivers, explaining estimated hospital bills, subsidies, schemes, and payment methods.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary financial forms and documentation.
  • Refer eligible patients to the Business Office or Medical Social Workers for financial aid support.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and proper follow-up until patient discharge

Patient Billing & Payment Support

  • Address billing enquiries from patients and next-of-kin (NOK).
  • Collect deposits, outstanding balances, and payments for rehabilitation items, mobility aids, and other hospital provisions.
  • Manage and reconcile NETS and credit card transactions daily

Forms Processing (NEFR, MCAF, MT)

  • Guide patients and NOKs through the completion of national financial forms and ensure the collection of supporting documents.
  • Submit completed forms to MOHH in a timely manner.
  • Update patient records in SAP upon receipt of consent

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of the reception and workstations.
  • Manage departmental emails and respond to enquiries promptly.
  • Ensure timely processing of electronic forms and merge requests (e-BARFs).
  • Oversee department inventory and supplies.
  • Support ad-hoc projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • GCE ‘O’ / ‘A’ Levels, Nitec / Higher Nitec, or Diploma in any discipline.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Team player with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and solve problems.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Work Schedule

Current Working Hours:

  • Monday–Friday : 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday : 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Sunday : Off
    If rostered on Saturday, the staff will get one weekday off and Friday ends at 6:00 PM. If working Monday–Friday, Friday ends at 5:30 PM.

Future Shift Pattern (Integrated General Hospital):

  • Weekdays : 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday & Public Holidays : 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • One weekday & Sunday off per week

Working hours may be subject to change based on hospital operational needs.
