We are seeking a highly skilled and service-oriented Desktop Support Engineer to provide end-user IT support in a demanding and fast-paced financial services environment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality technical support to users in a trading floor or investment banking setting, ensuring minimal downtime and swift issue resolution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 deskside and remote support to end users, including front office, middle office, and back office staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and collaboration tools.
  • Support the Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, remote access tools (VPN/Citrix), and market data platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters, Eikon, etc.).
  • Coordinate with global infrastructure teams for escalations related to network, server, or application issues.
  • Provide hands-on support for trading floor setups, including support for Bloomberg terminals, market data feeds, and voice systems.
  • Maintain and update IT asset inventory; ensure compliance with security and audit standards.
  • Set up new joiner equipment, including imaging laptops/desktops, configuring mobile devices, and granting access to systems and applications.
  • Document issue resolutions and maintain knowledge base articles for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in after-hours support, including planned maintenance, emergency troubleshooting, or on-call rotation (if required).

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Desktop Support or IT End User Services, preferably in a financial services or trading environment.
  • Solid understanding of:
    Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 Suite
    Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM/Intune
    Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
    Mobile device management (iOS/Android)
  • Experience supporting market data applications (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) and trading platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
