We are seeking qualified and proactive Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) cum Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to join our team for upcoming construction projects.
WSHO Roles & Requirements:
- To lead and implement safety programs, monitor worksite activities, and ensure full compliance with statutory safety regulations and organizational safety protocols.
- Liaise with government authorities (MOM, BCA, SCDF, etc.) on all WSH-related matters.
- Minimum of 3 years of WSH experience on worksite, candidates with WSH tunneling experience will be advantageous.
- Able to conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Must possess valid WSHO certificate (registered with MOM).
- Strong observation and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills for conducting training and coordinating across teams.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- With relevant supervisory course (WAH, Confine Space and etc.) certifications will be added advantageous.
- Able to work independently and at the same time be a team player.
- Excellent observation, auditing, and risk assessment skills.
- Proficiency in safety reporting software or digital inspection tools is an advantage.
- Crisis management and emergency response coordination capabilities.
ECO Roles & Requirements:
- Ensuring environmental compliance on-site, implementing sustainable practices, and minimizing the environmental impact of construction activities.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and project-specific environmental management plans (EMPs).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
- Identify potential environmental risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and submit accurate environmental reports and documentation.
- Promote environmental awareness among site personnel.
- Point out and discuss environmental health irregularities with the Project Management and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities.
- Must possess valid ECO Certificate (NEA) and registered with the National Environmental Agency (NEA).
- Earth Control Measure Officer (ECMO) certificate and registered with The Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES)
- Minimum 3 years of hands on ECO experience in PUB/LTA projects
- Possess Good knowledge of Government Regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Confined Space Assessor.
