The Commercial manager is responsible for
- Pursuing sales opportunities to sell Geotechnical Instrumentation and monitoring, Site Investigation, and related testing services to clients across the Construction Industry.
- Managing contracts (claims) for project secured. Reporting directly to the Asia Sales Director and functional reporting to the General Manager, the Commercial manager is responsible for driving and achieving growth with High Touch Accounts and by prospecting for new opportunities with new clients. The role is expected to exercise appropriate leadership to maximize team effectiveness working seamlessly with Business Development, Quantity Surveyors, Contract Lead, Operational and Leadership teams. This role is based in Kaki Bukit, Singapore. Core Responsibilities:
- Exceed assigned sales and revenue target.
- Manage contracts and claims.
- Establish and proactively maintain professional relationship with key customers.
- Drive profitable sales expansion with a focus on acquiring new and engaging dormant accounts, while growing existing clients.
- Lead, coach and mentor team members.
- Provide leadership and representation of Company to the public, customers, vendors, and to all employees.
- Represent company at industry association meetings to promote company and services offered.
- Collaborate with peers within Company Asia subsidiaries to maximize sales for key customers.
- Actively participate in pipeline reviews, ensuring all CRM records are updated and critical success factors are identified for key opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, trade compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and employee handbook.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws pertaining to safety, environment and corporate governance. 10 - 15 years of commercial client facing experience with Contracts and Sales responsibilities.
- Degree qualification in a directly related industry is preferred but not essential.
- Experience dealing with working for Teir 1 construction contractors / consultants preferred.
- Knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering / Site investigation would be an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics 365, CRM, Power BI,others).
- Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent Company at events / projects with customers and within Company .
- Strategic thinker when faced with deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Good interpersonal skills that foster open communication built on mutual respect.
- Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements including contract management.
