Responsibilities:

  • Developing engineering design solutions for platform screen door (PSD) systems and related rail infrastructure.
  • Preparing and reviewing detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ensuring all designs comply with applicable standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams including project, procurement, installation, and R&D departments.
  • Participating in design review meetings and addressing feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting site surveys, feasibility studies, and design validation as needed.
  • Supporting the preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers to select appropriate components and materials.
  • Providing technical support throughout the design lifecycle, including during fabrication and installation.
  • Maintaining accurate records of design changes and engineering documentation.
  • Performing other design-related tasks as assigned by the project manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering design (preferably in rail, mechanical systems, or public infrastructure). Fresh graduates with strong portfolios are also welcome to apply.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, technical drawing conventions, and product lifecycle processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
