Senior Manager, Ocean Cargo Business

PURPOSE

This position will report to the General Manager, Ocean Cargo, NXSAO and will be responsible for leading Ocean Cargo Procurement, Pricing, Country Operation (Organization) for Compliance, Allocation Management, Operation Standardization in South Asia & Oceania Region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategy Planning for Ocean Cargo Procurement in South Asia & Oceania Region and Product Development.
• Rate negotiation and procurement with Ocean Carriers, Capacity Management and Product Development.
• Manage relationship with Carriers to support local, regional and global strategy.
• Maintaining trade-lane freight standard rate to Sales Development team.
• Provide technical advice and market intelligence to Sales Development to price product with competitive and sustainable growth.
• Intervene where needed with regards to rates and contract clarification/dispute, space issues with carriers.
• Report and analyzing cost management and capacity management to ensure process improvement efficiency and internal / external stakeholders satisfaction.
• Coordinate and support daily operation in local office as regional management section.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor Degree.
• Minimum 10 years’ work-related experience in Ocean Freight Procurement.
• Experience in Tariff management and Tender management.
• Preferably with freight forwarding procurement (FCL/LCL) experience.
• Well verse with Ocean Business Compliance regulations and requirements.
• Experience in managing Transport Management System, Freight Management System, etc.
• Knowledge in Tableau, PowerBI and QlikView and Cargowise.
• Regional role experience will an added value.
