AI Spatial Designer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and forward-thinking AI Spatial Designer to join our team. This role blends spatial interior design expertise with AI-powered tools to create intelligent, data-driven, and immersive environments across office and retail settings. You will play a key role in transforming client requirements into optimized layouts, visuals, and technical outputs that are both creative and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Intelligent Scenario-Based Design Generation

• Office Spaces : Automatically generate office floor plans with optimized circulation and zoning. Create smart, flexible layouts adapted to hybrid working modes, and suggest materials and furniture accordingly.
• Retail Spaces : Generate standardized store plans and high-quality visualizations based on SI manuals. Handle creative tasks for pop-up stores, booths, and exhibition spaces.
• Graphic Design Tasks : Quickly produce 2D/3D assets such as posters, short videos, logos, and digital graphics in response to client branding needs.

2. Data-Driven Spatial Optimization

• Workplace Comfort : Use behavioral data to optimize lighting, thermal comfort, acoustic zones, and recommend ergonomic furniture setups.
• Retail Efficiency : Integrate sales data and customer traffic heatmaps to dynamically adjust shelf layouts, promotional areas, and simulate light impacts across time slots.
• Compliance Checks : Automatically validate designs against regulatory standards (e.g., fire exits, accessibility), and provide actionable modification suggestions.

3. Immersive Interaction Design

• Develop real-time visual editing tools enabling intuitive drag-and-drop of spatial elements (e.g., desks, products), with instant 3D visualization and cost updates.
• Design interactive digital experiences for showrooms, or simulate VR-enabled office environments for meetings and remote collaboration.

4. Engineering & Cost Management

• Automatically generate construction drawings and material take-offs (e.g., partitions, carpets, furniture), linked to supplier databases for real-time cost comparison.
• Provide cost-effective recommendations based on project budget constraints, ensuring optimal value-for-money in procurement decisions.

5. Engineering Coordination Support

• Produce comprehensive technical outputs including MEP positioning (e.g., power points, HVAC), and highlight cost differences between multiple design schemes.
• Assist in pre-construction technical validation and planning.

6. Continuous Learning & Algorithm Improvement

• Update and expand a database of mainstream interior design styles.
• Improve design generation algorithms through iterative testing and optimization.
• Collect and analyze user feedback to enhance interface design and overall user experience.

Requirements:

• Strong design foundation in interior/architectural or spatial design; experience with office or retail spaces preferred.
• Familiarity with AI or algorithm-assisted design workflows is a strong plus.
• Excellent skills in spatial visualization tools (e.g., CAD, SketchUp, or equivalent).
• Ability to interpret data insights and apply them to real-world spatial strategies.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese , with the ability to handle bilingual communication, documents, and design instructions.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fully remote, cross-functional team.
