Design Researcher

We are looking for a Design Researcher and your role is to:

• Define and plan qualitative user research to effectively inform the design and development of products & services.
• Lead recruitment efforts to recruit and manage both internal and external participants.
• Conduct qualitative user research independently (e.g. in-depth interviews, contextual inquiries, ethnographic observations, focus groups, diary studies, usability testing, remote testing, etc.).
• Familiarity with mapping and applying design frameworks (e.g customer journey mapping, personas, assumptions mapping, etc).
• Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to translate research insights into design (e.g. collaborative sketching, prototyping, user stories).
• Communicate research insights effectively depending on project needs (e.g. reports, stakeholder workshops, videos, etc.).
• Nice to have: Understanding of quantitative user research such as analytics, A/B testing, data-mining, etc.

Required Roles competencies, skills & knowledge

• Relevant degree/diploma (e.g. sociology, anthropology, cognitive psychology, Human Factors, Human-Centred Design) or industry experience.
• End-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research process.
• Knowledge of UX design processes and methodologies.
• Ability to facilitate discussions and workshops with different stakeholders.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Portfolio with examples of leading strategic user research with significant business outcomes.
• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting effective UX/user/design/experience research.
• Change management expertise would be advantageous
