QMS Lead/ Engineer [Tuas]

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of certification and customer audits.
• Facilitation of internal and supplier audit program.
• Development and implementation of a training program for internal auditors.
• Maintain internal / supplier audit schedule.
• Assigning internal / supplier audit teams.
• Review of internal / supplier audit reports.
• Conducting follow-up to verify closure of Quality Corrective Action Requests for internal, supplier & customer audits.
• Management of the Quality Corrective Action Request (QCAR) system.
• Ensures the quality controls & quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.
• Management of the control of QMS documentation.
• Verify QMS compliance with API Q1 and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
• Assist process owners in development of procedures and work instructions
• Assist Quality Manager in revision of the Quality Manual.
• Provide direction for control of customer supplied documents.
• Develops written documentation and procedures related to quality requirements and/or criteria.
• Support contract review process to ensure that Quality requirements are identified and communicated to the shop floor.
• Support of continuous improvement projects designed to identify and eliminate the root cause of non-conformances.
Support internal HSE audits

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Quality systems knowledge, including auditing.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in working within a technical team.
• Problem solving skills using Six Sigma methodology or other recognized approaches (RCA, 8D).
• Working knowledge of Core quality tools: SPC MSA PPAP, FMEA.
• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods,
• techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to comprehend Engineering Drawings, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook / Excel / Word / Power Point / Visio).
• Quality Management System Auditing experience using any of the following standards. ISO 9001 & API Q1.
ASQ Certifications or equivalent local certification e.g. SQI required (CQE, CQA, etc.)
