Hardware Engineer

Summary:

The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing hardware tools for testing secure universal integrated circuit cards (UICC) used in mobile and IoT devices. This role involves the entire hardware development process, including requirements definition, architectural design, implementation, and verification.

Requirements:

• Develop functional diagrams and design schematics and layouts for hardware applications.
• Perform calculations and analysis for electronic circuit designs.
• Select and evaluate electronic components and work with component suppliers.
• Design, develop, and test high-speed digital electronic circuits, including microcontrollers, FPGA, and embedded firmware.
• Conduct failure analysis at the circuit and component level and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Provide post-production support and maintain in-house readers based on team requirements and feedback.
• Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of hardware system resources.
Provide hardware training and knowledge sharing to the development team

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in schematic design, layout design, and hands-on experience with lab equipment/tools (oscilloscope, measuring devices, hand soldering).
• Proficient with schematic capture and layout design tools, preferably Cadence/OrCAD/KiCad.
• Demonstrated circuit-level analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• At least 2 years of experience with embedded systems design, including embedded microcontrollers, FPGAs, and development boards.
• Familiarity with communication I/O protocols like UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, I2C, SPI, SWP, ISO 7816.
• Knowledge of common software and scripting languages used in FPGA development, such as C/C++, Python, Tcl.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills, highly motivated, and customer-oriented.
• Ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams, leveraging problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn with high-level direction.
• Experience communicating technical information to customers and stakeholders.
