Your Job

Molex Singapore is seeking for a Process Outsource Engineer to support production process improvements for subcontractors outside Molex Singapore, ensuring quality, yield, and productivity enhancements. You will be responsible for the smooth release of new products to manufacturing, resolving process-related issues, and tracking assets.

Our Team

This role involves extensive collaboration with various internal departments, subcontractors, fabrication vendors, and machine vendors/suppliers.

What You Will Do

• New products (subcon) – responsible for working with MIE, Automation Engineer, Product Design Engineer, QA, and components Engineer, ensuring the release for manufacturing. Full Qualification must be done.
• Designing production processes for product launch at Subcontractor location; setting up lines, process flow, process capability study, material flow, PFMEA etc.
• Work with subcontractor to provide resources to support project transfer to their location, meet the capacity and quality requirement.
• Starting the production lines and supervising the production lines during their implementation.
• Preparing a requisition plan for machines, equipment, and other production means – for new projects, or sample production.
• Analysing work on the production lines, ensure safety compliance and measuring the work efficiency.
• Identifying and implementing improvements in the production processes.
• Implementing product changes into the production processes, including the process optimization.
• Introduction of new solutions / technologies in the design of production processes (Lean / Six Sigma)
• Provide continuous improvement activities for efficiency, manufacturing cost and product quality.
• Conduct defect analysis and propose improvement activities.
• Adherence to procedures related to system management of quality and environmental.
• Ensuring 100% asset accuracy at subcontractor location.
• Perform work in accordance with the standards of personal and professional integrity as described in the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. To comply to PBM Guiding Principles for the job carry out under his responsibility.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position (for external candidates) or a minimum of 2 years in a Process Engineer position at Molex (for internal candidates).
• Ability for critical thinking and problem solving.
• Knowledge that allows the perception of directional errors and propose solutions
• Knowledge of basic quality systems
• Knowledge of process parameters and tools.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Ability to work in a team environment both internally & externally.
• Willing to take on challenges and show initiative
• Six-sigma Lean – it is an added advantage but not necessary
• Process/Quality tools (FMEA, 5Whys, etc.)
• Knowledge of IATF16949
• Basics of mechanical tooling for analysis of issue.
