As the South Asia Sourcing and Buying Manager - Indirect, your primary responsibility is to manage the Indirect sourcing and buying team across Singapore, Malaysia, and India. Your role involves delivering a best-in-class procurement experience, managing spend, and achieving savings. You will lead the implementation of sourcing strategies, ensure compliance with existing contracts, and build a team of skilled Indirect sourcing specialists and buyers who support plants throughout South Asia.

You will lead the implementation of sourcing strategies, ensure compliance with existing contracts, and build a team of skilled Indirect sourcing specialists and buyers who support plants throughout South Asia.
Our Team
You will be part of the procurement division within the supply chain, collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including executive-level contacts, suppliers, and both corporate and divisional stakeholders. This role requires close coordination with Indirect Category Managers, NPD Sourcing, Division Sourcing, and Procurement operations to meet plant revenue and cost objectives.
What You Will Do
- Implement sourcing strategies, procurement processes, and workflows across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with existing contracts and service levels, managing governance and control programs for business continuity.
- Build and manage a team of Indirect sourcing specialists and buyers, supporting specified plants throughout South Asia.
- Collaborate with Indirect Category Managers, NPD Sourcing, Division Sourcing, and Procurement operations to support plant revenue and cost objectives.
- Lead negotiations of supply agreements with local suppliers, and understand and monitor industry best practices and technology trends for spend management, price reductions, and negotiated savings.
- Deliver outstanding performance to Procurement KPIs using eProcurement tools and through business process design.
- Manage internal business relationships to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and manage external partnerships critical to meeting objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience, preferably in the area of indirect spend.
- Experience managing team members in Singapore and remotely in Malaysia, Vietnam, and India.
- Proficient in clear and concise English and Mandarin verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels and deliver oral presentations on moderately complex subjects.
- Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional collaboration across business units and geographies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite; proficiency with sourcing tools and ERP systems.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and understanding Category Management to support strategy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills, along with excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
