Technical Operations Manager


Our client is a leading vending machine provider. They are currently seeking for Technical Operations Manager.


The role of the Technical Operations Manager includes:

  • Manage team of indoor and outdoor technicians for vending machines, chillers, freezers
  • Go-to subject matter expert with regards to troubleshooting and maintenance of all assets
  • To identify and close gaps in terms of compliance; to set quality standards; to set SOPs for all processes relating to vehicles and assets
  • To develop and manage a preventive and corrective maintenance framework for all vehicles and assets.
  • Track and manage improvement to response time and quality of repair works and maintenance costs. This will include analysing the types of repair / frequency and providing periodic reports to management.
  • Ensure spare parts are in adequate quantity to support daily repair at warehouse and on-site
  • Source and assess new asset and vehicle models which include payment system (coin mechanism and bill validators) and technology capability
  • Implement upgrades to existing assets and vehicles in terms of application in the context of our business e.g. RFID, Telematics.
  • Implement innovative and sustainable solutions (e.g. Smart assets and tracking systems, electric vehicle and chargers)
  • Drive continuous improvement activities through detailed analysis
  • Manage vendors
  • Keep up with latest development and regulations for assets and vehicles
  • Organize technical training where required
  • Plan and organize audit of assets and vehicles where required
  • Any ad-hoc duties assigned.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Engineering / IT
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in an engineering or IT field, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role
  • Good people-management skills
  • Innovative and creative mindset
