Assistant Engineer, RCA - Assembly Cable

Your Job

As a Cable FA Assistant Engineer, your primary purpose is to facilitate cable failure analysis and manage the cable rework process. You will report on the status of failure analysis and rework activities while assisting the Cable Engineer with failure analysis tasks. Additionally, you will instruct, train, and qualify a team of specialists, technicians, and operators in the rework process, ensuring the maintenance of tools and the rework area environment.

Our Team

You will be part of the Data-Com and Specialty Solutions Division located in Singapore. Our team works collaboratively with QA Engineers, AQP Engineers, Process Engineers, Test Engineers, and other professionals to support new product and existing cable product development, quality assurance, and process improvements across Molex Singapore, other Molex entities, and subcontractors.

What You Will Do

• Facilitate cable failure analysis to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Manage the cable rework process to ensure timely and effective remediation.
• Report daily on the output of reworked cables to maintain transparency and track progress.
• Assist the Cable Engineer with failure analysis activities, providing critical support and insights.
• Instruct, train, and qualify your team of specialists, technicians, and operators to perform rework processes competently.
• Maintain the tools and environment in the rework area, ensuring optimal working conditions.
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• High proficiency in using analytical tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills capable of conveying complex technical concepts clearly and concisely with local and global teams.
• Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results, and make corrections.
