Your Job

In this role, you will be pivotal in driving quality, yield, and productivity improvements. As a Cable RCA Leader, you will lead cable failure analysis (FA) and rework teams, set up and maintain FA and rework areas, and create and sustain cable FA and rework procedures. You will also facilitate failure analysis, rework activities, and cost of poor quality (COPQ) improvement initiatives for both new and existing products.

Our Team

You will be part of the Data-Com and Specialty Solutions Division, working closely with a diverse team that includes QA Engineers, AQP Engineers, Process Engineers, Test Engineers, and Product Design Engineers. This collaborative environment ensures seamless communication and the opportunity to contribute to quality and process improvements across Molex Singapore, other Molex entities, and subcontractors.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage the cable failure analysis (FA) and rework teams, ensuring efficient operations and outcomes.
• Set up and maintain the FA and rework areas to ensure a streamlined workflow and compliance with all relevant standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust cable failure analysis and rework procedures.
• Facilitate all FA and rework processes related to cables, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and deadlines.
• Actively participate in and lead cost of poor quality (COPQ) improvement activities to drive continuous enhancements in process and product quality.
• Support new product development and existing product quality and process improvements through collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams.
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with test equipment and measuring instruments.
• Proficiency in compiled programming languages such as C/C++ or VB/C#, particularly within the Microsoft .NET framework.
• Proficiency in scripted programming languages such as Python and the ability to apply programming concepts to solve complex problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share complex technical concepts across global teams.
  
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• 2-5 years of progressive engineering experience with a strong understanding of high-speed testing and product designs.
• Extensive experience with RF/microwave test and measurement equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, 4-port network analyzers, and bit error rate testers.
• Knowledge of RF/microwave transmission line theory, including s-parameters, Fourier transforms, characteristic impedance, and jitter analysis.
• Experience with relational databases using Microsoft SQL or MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with RF/microwave circuit design and PCB layout tools like Mentor Graphics PADS or Cadence Allegro, as well as exposure to advanced PCB fabrication methods.
• Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS or CST Microwave Studio.
