Your mission

As an Accountant based in Singapore, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting process. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality financial reports that provide clear visibility of our company’s performance, ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards, and contribute towards the continuous improvement of reporting processes and internal controls.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial visibility and operational accountability, enabling the business to make well-informed, data-driven decisions that drive efficiency and long-term value.

The Employee’s main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Supervise and review the work of outsourced bookkeeping providers for overseas subsidiaries, ensuring that financial records are maintained accurately and submitted on time, and that all transactions comply with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Manage full set accounting for local subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Support the preparation of internal financial reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity in presenting financial results to senior management.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, audits, and tax filings where required.
  • Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting processes are aligned with the parent company’s accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements. This includes harmonizing the chart of accounts, adapting local processes, and ensuring consistent financial reporting in line with group-level standards.
  • Identify opportunities for improving financial processes, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Financial Controller.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Accountant who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in full-set accounting, consolidation and tax compliance. You should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both local and global teams.

Skills

  • A solid background in full set accounting, and an understanding of group-level financial reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to drive process improvements, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Good interpersonal skills, both on an individual and team basis
  • Experience working in an internal environment dealing with international staff and culture

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, including full set accounting for subsidiaries, group consolidation and tax reporting
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations, particularly with respect to GST and corporate tax compliance.
  • Experience working with outsourced bookkeeping services and collaborating with external accounting service providers is preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and consolidation tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, departments, and locations.
  • Strong fluency in English and Chinese language; fluency is German is a plus but not compulsory.
