Job Description


Reports to Associate Dean and when you are assigned to work on a project, the Project Leader is your Superior and you will report to your Project Leader. Appraisal will also be carried out by the Project Leader on your performance.


1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

  • Deliver up to 4 hours of instruction daily, as required, for aviation-related programmes.
  • Develop lesson plans, set and mark assignments, examinations, and provide timely feedback.
  • Support students’ academic journey, including counselling and promoting student well-being.
  • Administer pre-and post-course tasks such as adjunct scheduling, material collection, and LMS management.

2. Curriculum & Programme Management

  • Design and regularly review curriculum in alignment with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Integrate innovative teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Provide strategic input on learning goals, teaching and assessment frameworks.
  • Supervise programme delivery to ensure academic rigor and practical relevance.
  • Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and university affiliates for curriculum enhancement.

3. Quality Assurance & Development

  • Develop and maintain academic documentation including policies, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance manuals.
  • Lead the process of document control, ensuring regular updates and compliance with standards.
  • Ensure institutional compliance with SSG, CPE, EduTrust, and internal academic policies.
  • Assist with audits, accreditation exercises, and academic reviews.
  • Implement plans supporting the Institute’s academic strategy and continuous improvement.

4. Academic Planning & Operations

  • Plan and issue timetables, manage lecturer deployment, and coordinate all academic administration pre- and post-term.
  • Compile, verify, and archive examination papers, conduct pre/post-exam audits, and report examination outcomes.
  • Maintain and update LMS content, ensuring accessibility and consistency across modules.

5. Partnerships & Industry Engagement

  • Liaise with adjunct faculty, university partners, and industry stakeholders to ensure curriculum and student learning remain industry-aligned.
  • Support student internships, industrial visits, and guest lecture planning.
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining academic partnerships and collaborative agreements.

6. Facilities & Institutional Support

  • Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of teaching spaces, library, and student resource areas.
  • Participate in school functions, student activities, and institutional events.
  • Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.

7. Others

  • Assist in other duties / responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Aviation or a relevant discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in higher education or training.
  • ACTA / ACLP, IATA, or other recognised training certifications are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and academic administrative platforms.
  • Experience in academic quality assurance, accreditation, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
