Responsibilities

  • Act as Commission Manager, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery on complex aviation projects in Asia.
  • To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added cost management service.Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.Leading value engineering and life cycle costing exercise.Motivate team members, and drive towards positive client outcomes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Critically analyze, challenge and brainstorm project requirements and deliverables, in order to find creative solutions and alternatives on behalf of clients.To lead a cost and commercial management team, ensuring that the team members deliver on all accountabilities.To identify & act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates and products and hence improve the service provided to clients

Requirements

  • Degree qualifications in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or similar discipline with more than 20 years’ work experience with demonstrated career growth graph. 
  • Possess relevant full professional membership such as RICS/SISV
  • Relevant experience of working for a construction consultancy locally or in Asia
  • Experience in managing large teams (>20) of multi-disciplinary cost and commercial teams, project controls, digital services on complex aviation projects.
  • English language skills are required and additional Asia language skills would be an advantage. 
  • Excellent communication skills, and strong business acumen, with the ability to drive outcomes on behalf of clients, develop new business, leverage current opportunities, and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines and deliverables 
  • A passion for work, and a strong commitment to producing high quality work, and in motivating others to strive for excellence, and to go the extra mile to meet client requirements. 
  • Experience in client management with solid experience in client facing environment that requires incumbent to utilize critical business development skills and advisory skills to enhance project delivery on value management, value engineering and life cycle costing. 
  • Be able to develop new business and leverage current opportunities to grow a cost management team.
