2. About the Role: Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager is a high-impact leadership role designed for professionals with a strong drive to create, connect, and commercialize.
This individual will be at the center of Borient’s expansion strategy, helping us penetrate new markets, establish corporate alliances, and co-develop programs across our core verticals:
- AI Entrepreneurship Education Systems
- Intelligent Wealth Management Solutions
- Global Business Incubation Networks
- AI-Driven Governance and Compliance Tools
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager at Borient, you will:
a) Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
- Identify, qualify, and secure new strategic alliances with educational institutions, accelerators, and industry groups.
- Engage in deal structuring, joint ventures, and memorandum of understanding (MoU) development.
- Build partnership pipelines in ASEAN, Greater China, and emerging markets.
b) Market Development & Opportunity Scouting
- Perform industry and competitive research to identify trends and whitespace opportunities.
- Analyze data to prioritize countries, regions, and sectors for business expansion.
- Support pilot program launches and assess go-to-market fit across different demographics.
c) Sales Enablement & Client Engagement
- Work with internal product and marketing teams to co-create compelling pitches.
- Conduct high-level business development meetings with C-suite decision-makers, academic deans, and government agencies.
- Build long-term client relationships and serve as an evangelist for Borient’s brand and vision.
d) Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of signed deals, from onboarding to revenue realization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including legal, operations, and marketing.
- Monitor KPIs, build dashboards, and report growth performance directly to executive leadership.
3. Candidate Profile: Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for mission-driven professionals who are entrepreneurial at heart and strategic in execution. The ideal candidate is a builder , a connector , and a doer .
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of business development, sales, strategic partnerships, or corporate development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals, expand markets, or scale programs in startup, education, fintech, or consulting settings.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven record of independently leading initiatives and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Bonus Skills & Experience
- Experience working with cross-border teams or regional expansion (esp. Singapore, China, ASEAN).
- Knowledge of AI, entrepreneurship, digital learning, or wealth management domains.
- Multilingual proficiency (e.g. English + Chinese) is an advantage.
- Understanding of startup ecosystems, educational partnerships, or corporate learning.

You'll help scale our flagship programs like BAIS (Business AI Systems) and EAIS (Entrepreneurship AI Systems) —enabling young innovators, working professionals, and corporate leaders to build ventures with AI fluency.
Wealth Management Systems
Borient is at the forefront of digitizing private banking and wealth advisory. Your work will contribute to the deployment of intelligent solutions that power family offices , financial planners , and intergenerational wealth platforms .
Corporate Ecosystems & DAO Integration
We are redefining how companies grow and govern themselves. As a BD Manager, you may explore Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) structures to co-build with global talents and partners.
