Research and Development Director

Key Responsibilities:

• R&D Strategy:

• Develop and implement the R&D strategy for new beverage and food products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
  

• Product Development:

• Oversee the development of new products from concept through to commercialization, including formulation, testing, and validation.

• Ensure product localization to meet the diverse tastes and preferences across different APAC markets.
  

• Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all products comply with relevant local and international regulations and standards, including safety, labeling, and quality requirements.
  

• Innovation:

• Drive innovation in product development by identifying new ingredients, technologies, and trends in the F&B industry.
  

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with marketing, production, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of new products into the existing portfolio.

• Coordinate with country teams to ensure product localization and adaptation for regional markets.
  

• Market Research:

• Conduct market research to identify consumer needs and preferences, and use these insights to guide product development.
  

• Project Management:

• Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  

• Team Leadership:

• Lead and develop a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  

• Quality Control:

• Establish and maintain robust quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety.

• Oversee all country retail quality assurance (QA) teams to ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

• Manage supply chain QA to ensure quality is maintained throughout the production and distribution process.
  

• Packaging Design and Device Development:

• Oversee the design and development of product packaging to ensure functionality, sustainability, and brand consistency.

• Lead the development and innovation of devices used in the production and serving of products.
  

• Sustainability:

• Integrate sustainable practices into product development processes, focusing on reducing environmental impact and promoting health and wellness.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage R&D processes, including formulation, testing, and regulatory compliance.
