Job Summary:

The Relationship Director is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth individual (HNWI) clients. This role involves delivering tailored financial solutions, offering strategic wealth advice, and building long-term relationships. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, providing comprehensive wealth planning services and collaborating with internal experts to meet clients’ evolving financial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients.
    Build, deepen, and retain client relationships through regular engagement and high-touch service.
    Understand clients’ financial goals, risk appetite, and investment preferences.
  • Wealth Planning & Advisory:
    Provide customized wealth management solutions, including investment advisory and financial planning.
    Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Business Development:
    Identify and pursue new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and market outreach.
    Contribute to the team’s revenue and asset growth targets by acquiring new HNWI clients.
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and financial products.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure all client interactions and transactions comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
    Conduct thorough KYC and AML checks during client onboarding and periodic reviews.
    Monitor client accounts for risk indicators and ensure appropriate documentation.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including investment managers, risk, compliance, and operations.
    Share market insights and best practices with peers to enhance overall team performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA) are a plus.
  • Minimum Education: Diploma in a Local Polytechnic to comply with MAS requirements
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in relationship management, private banking, or wealth advisory.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and wealth structuring strategies.
  • Proven track record of client acquisition and relationship building with HNWIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and client-centric mindset.
