Overall Job Responsibility

One of the key functions of the Strategy and Planning Division is to oversee SG Enable’s corporate planning, helping the organisation grow in the complex social space and delivering greater value to SG Enable’s and sector stakeholders and beneficiaries. To this end, the Division ensures alignment of all key corporate functions to SG Enable’s strategy and goals. This includes guiding and overseeing corporate performance and reporting to SG Enable’s Board of Directors, as well as to internal and external stakeholders.

The incumbent leads the corporate planning function in the Division, helping to shape the organisation’s strategy and materialise the strategy by ensuring robust planning and performance monitoring. This role plays a pivotal part in aligning organisational efforts with national social policies and sectoral goals working with both internal and external stakeholders, including the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), and relevant government and social services agencies
Duties and Responsibilities

Support Deputy Director, Strategy and Planning to plan and/or execute the following work:

Corporate Planning and Performance Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end corporate planning cycle, including the annual work plan formulation and development in collaboration with the Divisions, and Board submission.
  • Guide the development of SG Enable’s Performance Management Framework and monitoring of performance indicators, ensuring timely reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse performance outcomes and work with Divisions to drive improvements or corrective measures where needed.

Board Secretariat

  • Oversee the provision of secretariat support to the Board of Directors including the preparation, coordination and follow-through of Board meetings i.e. scheduling of papers, recording of minutes and implementation of decisions.
  • Manage Board-related functions such as retreats, appreciation events, Board succession planning, member appointments and transition.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Board members on corporate reporting and engagement matters.

Other Duties

  • Oversee the engagement with key external stakeholders (including the timely and accurate submission of performance reports) on SG Enable’s progress in the following areas:
    • The Enabling Masterplan
    • Half-yearly reporting of SG Enable’s performance to the National Council of Social Services and MSF as part of SG Enable’s obligations under the respective Funding Agreements
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of planning professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Relevant degree, with at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role, with demonstrated leadership in corporate planning and governance.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with ability to synthesise complex information for decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and experience working with government and social agencies, and senior leadership.
  • Experience in the disability or social service sector is advantageous.
