Supply Chain Manager – Maritime / Shipping Industry

Location: Jurong East


Company Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to optimize our end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance within the maritime sector.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Supply Chain Management:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Align supply chain activities with organizational goals and maritime industry best practices.

Procurement and Vendor Relations:

  • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.

Logistics and Inventory Control:

  • Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement control measures to optimize stock management.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the maritime industry.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with maritime-specific supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of implementing supply chain improvements in a maritime context.
