Supply Chain Manager – Maritime / Shipping Industry
Location: Jurong East
Company Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to optimize our end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance within the maritime sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Align supply chain activities with organizational goals and maritime industry best practices.
Procurement and Vendor Relations:
- Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
Logistics and Inventory Control:
- Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement control measures to optimize stock management.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the maritime industry.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with maritime-specific supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of implementing supply chain improvements in a maritime context.
