WSH coordinator

We are looking for a professional Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to oversee and manage the company's safety and health policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations in Singapore and China, and to create a safe and healthy working environment. This position will also assist in handling safety compliance matters and logistics management related to China's food import and export trade.

Key responsibility

Safety Policy Development and Implementation

• Develop and update WSH/HSE policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with regulations from Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM)

• Conduct regular safety risk assessments and propose improvements

Training and Education

• Provide training on WSH/HSE topics such as food safety, fire safety, and first aid

• Organize regular drills and safety awareness activities

Supervision and Inspection

• Conduct routine workplace safety inspections

• Oversee safe use and maintenance of kitchen equipment

• Monitor food and raw material storage and handling safety

Incident Management

• Investigate workplace incidents and implement preventive measures

• Maintain incident records and submit required reports

Compliance Management

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and health regulations

• Assist in official inspections and audits

• Stay updated on regulatory changes and revise policies accordingly

Import-Export Trade Safety Compliance and Logistics Management

• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations in China and Singapore

• Verify that imported ingredients and raw materials meet Singaporean standards

• Coordinate logistics and transportation of goods imported from China

• Supervise international shipping to ensure safety and regulatory compliance

• Handle customs clearance documents and coordinate inspections and quarantine

• Communicate with logistics providers and resolve transportation issues

• Manage storage and inventory of import/export goods in line with safety standards

• Work with Chinese suppliers to ensure adherence to the company’s safety requirements
