  • Perform as team lead for the in house project supervisory team
  • Accountable for QA/QC of projects, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Oversees and directs on behalf of SAS, Safety of sites and surroundings.
  • Deal with Government authorities where necessary
  • Maintain Project records, documentation, and procedures
  • Scheduling and reporting on flow of works
  • Perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act,
  • Take instruction from QP to ensure that the construction, civil, building works are constructed in accordance with drawings and specifications and the
  • Building Control Act and Regulations.
  • Carry out inspection of Civil and Structural Engineering to ensure that the C&S and building works are safe and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Resolve contractor’s queries and coordinate the works of the contractors and other contractors on-site, and liaise with all relevant authorities if required on-site, and feedback site problems, discrepancy, and irregularities to SAS, Project Manager Consultants, Architect, and QP.
  • Keep an accurate record of variations works as instructed or approved by the SAS, Project Manager Consultants, Architect, and QP and maintain a set of updated drawings on site.
  • Check all drawings (including shop-drawings, construction drawings) and specifications for discrepancies and to report to the SAS, Project Manager Consultants, Architect and QP.

Skills/Requirements

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a University recognized by Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Singapore
  • MUST be currently accredited as a Resident Engineer with BCA/IES/ACES
  • Min. 5 years’ site working experience in Singapore, Institutional Project working experience preferred (RE)
  • Strong knowledge of C&S details, working drawings, and local construction practices for both Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures
  • Basic knowledge of Architectural and M&E and construction works on site
  • Conversant with local building codes and regulations
  • Good supervisory and leadership skills
  • Well-versed in MS Office and the latest version of AutoCAD
  • A keen eye for quality, safe work, and good defects management skills
