Job Summary and Description:


The TD IE Strategy is part of the TD IE Team and is responsible for the TD Business Plan- TD Wafer loading across the HVM Fab Network, Technode business process- managing and communicating development Milestones, and overall Business Process oversight including quality audit support. This will be accomplished through active stakeholder partnership, data analysis, and strong stakeholder management skills. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Safety

  • Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policies

  • Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations

  • Reports all safety-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.)

  • Performs audits and submits good catches on safety issues


Communication/Collaboration

  • Partners with key stakeholders to develop applications to continuously improve production metrics

  • Coordinates scenarios, works with Engineering, Operations and PI to deliver required data and analysis

  • Partners with TD, process engineering and change management to ensure these groups are linked into the plan and scenario timelines

  • Creates and delivers effective presentations

  • Coordinates interdepartmental meetings for simple to complex issues and projects

  • Uses data visualization technique to clearly communicate complex ideas and plans to stakeholders so data can translate into decisions

  • Clearly articulates complex ideas and issues to a broad audience

  • Establishes trusting relationships across local and global partner groups and drives improvement solutions that meet the needs of the customers

  • Provides regular status updates to stakeholders


Project Management/Planning

  • Manages projects and develops timelines and business process to meet scenario requests plan activities

  • Identifies project requirements and plans tasks to meet timelines

  • Ensures successful implementation of projects into business processes

  • Plans capital timing for new product introduction and ramp


Technical/Data Analysis

  • Designs and coordinates projects with several different departments and/or factories regarding scenario and planning processes

  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions utilizing a structured approach

  • Develops and drives improvements to key Fab Plan performance metrics

  • Provides solutions that improve performance of our current factory key metrics

  • Proposes and implement modeling concepts, methods, and tools

  • Maintains required training as well as job critical knowledge and skills

  • Performs audits, Fab capacity, Cycle Time (CT), and capital scenarios

  • Identifies and highlights scenario changes and requirements to guide TD executives in the strategic decision making process

  • Drives opportunities to minimize capital expenditure for a given scenario, while identifying the timing of the required capital through scenario analysis

  • Advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills

  • Apply industrial engineering concepts to operations management, capacity analysis, scheduling and production planning

  • Intermediate understanding of Fab area tool configurations, capabilities, and basic process and mechanical functionality

  • Intermediate understanding of all Fab area planning modeling requirements and peculiarities

  • Experience in working with ambiguity

  • Demonstrates a drive for continuous improvement

  • Familiarity with Micron Fab MES and 300mm scheduling environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Micron planning and reporting systems (PDM, LPI, TIQ, MES, Data Navigator, MiCAP, ECT, GeRM, SQL, SharePoint)

  • Available to travel as required to support business objectives


Education and Experience:

  • Required: BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM), equivalent degree, or relevant experience

  • Preferred: 5 years' engineering/manufacturing experience or M.S. degree in Operations Research or Industrial Engineering. Minimum of 5 years' engineering experience in a semiconductor production environment.
